Colloquium

On October 28th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Counselor Education program held a Suicide Prevention Colloquium for all COE graduate students. There were two faculty members and 37 graduate students, including two Ph.D. students, who participated in this colloquium. Rachel-Clair Franklin, LPC-S, BC-TMH, CHES from the Psychology department, was the speaker and provided significant suicidal presentation techniques for all attendees. Rachel-Clair Franklin is a licensed training and response clinician. The training is the result of the Garrett Lee Smith Youth Suicide Prevention Grant made available in 2019 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
